Your number stays on

Your carrier's SIM keeps handling calls and texts; Saily handles data.

Who is it for?

For Canadians crossing into the US, heading to Europe or on a cruise who want fixed-price data instead of a daily roaming add-on.

How does Saily eSIM work?

Saily is a travel eSIM app from Nord Security, the company behind NordVPN. An eSIM is a digital SIM card: instead of inserting a chip, you download a profile to your phone. You buy a data plan in the Saily app (iOS or Android), install the eSIM before you go, and the plan activates automatically when you arrive in the covered country (or 180 days after purchase, whichever comes first).

eSIM for the USA from Canada: this is the most common use here. Saily sells USA-only plans and a North America regional plan covering the United States, Canada and Mexico. There's also a Europe plan (35 countries) and a global plan. Speed depends on the local partner network (4G/LTE, or 5G where available).

Saily plans are data only: no phone number included. Calls and messages go through WhatsApp, FaceTime, Signal or iMessage. Since June 2026 Saily also offers an optional US (+1) number, sold separately. Hotspot is allowed, and every plan includes an ad blocker, web protection and a "virtual location" feature that work at network level.

FAQ

How does Saily eSIM work?

You buy a plan in the Saily app, install the eSIM before you leave, and the plan activates automatically when you reach your destination. Your regular SIM stays in the phone for calls and texts.

Is Saily a good eSIM for the USA from Canada?

Saily sells USA plans and a North America plan that covers the US, Canada and Mexico, with hotspot allowed. Speed depends on the local partner network, and prices are in US dollars.

Can I get a refund on a Saily plan?

According to Saily, yes within 30 days of purchase if the eSIM wasn't installed or the plan wasn't activated. After activation, a refund is still possible if more than 99% of the data is unused, or if a technical problem on their side prevented use.
